Supporting Our Youth in this Global Moment of Stuckness with Ryan Grady, PCC

So many young people hate thinking and dreaming about tomorrow.  They are interested in putting one foot in front of the other.  The problem is that the vulnerable process of having a dream is a critical component of moving through this life of ours with resilience, focus, and discipline. In addition, having a dream helps us see opportunity and move toward it with curiosity and flexibility.

During our time together, I will help our participants with strategies to do a better job of helping and supporting young people in their lives and moving them forward.  Which, just may, mean that we have to nurture, grow, and protect our own dreams.

I will present the Dream Cycle I use to help me identify where my clients are in establishing their dream so I can best meet them where they are and move them forward.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will develop strategies to “Dream Ignite” young people and learn the different ways we can and should avoid “Dream Snuffing” others – especially young people.
  • Participants will know that they shouldn’t help any one with their dream unless they bravely crafting and moving their own dreams.
  • Participants will understand the Dream Cycle that I use in working with my clients to help them identify where they are and develop the skills within themselves to build and defend their dreams.

Participants will earn .5 Core Competency and .5 Resource Development CCEs for attending.
