Join Our Chapter as a Community Associate

To join our chapter as a member, please first join ICF Global and choose ICF Wisconsin as your chapter. Once we verify that you have been added to our chapter list from ICF Global, you will be eligible to upgrade your membership to MemberPlus.

To get the most out of your ICF-Wisconsin membership, we invite you to explore our MemberPlus option. MemberPlus is an upgrade of your ICF member status.  With MemberPlus, you receive an all access pass to ICF-Wisconsin events and resources. 

If I choose not to upgrade the MemberPlus package, am I still a member of ICF-WI?
Yes!  You will still be a member of ICF-WI when you affiliate with our chapter through your ICF Global membership. If you choose not to upgrade to the MemberPlus package, you are still welcome at all ICF-WI events and you have the option of the pay-per-event rate for events requiring an attendance fee.

Where does my money go? How will my money ($50 / $15 per event) be utilized?
Membership and event fees help offset costs related to planning ICF-WI events that support ICF-WI chapter members, including speaker fees, venue reservations, etc.. This includes (but is not limited to):
Learning sessions
Social events
Annual Membership meeting
[Others]

Are other ICF Chapters also charging members to participate in events?
Yes, most ICF chapters either charge user fees for special learning events or have adopted an additional membership fee offering chapter members an discounted rate to cover participation in all chapter events and activities.

Can I be a member of ICF-WI and not ICF-Global?
While we encourage membership and active participation in ICF-Global, we do offer a Community Associate participation option for an annual fee of  $150, allowing those interested to participate in our chapter offerings without being an ICF Global Member. 

Can I be an ICF-Global member and a member of another chapter?
Yes.  When you become an ICF Global member, you may affiliate to any chapter you would like.   If you are already affiliated with another chapter, ICF-WI offers an option called “Community Associate” that will allow  you to participate with ICF-WI for $150
 
What if I don’t want to pay $50 now, but might want to come to something later? Can I still come? 
Yes. If you decide to attend an event requiring a fee you have two options:
Pay $15 per event 
Pay $50 when you decide to participate in an event. Once you pay the fee, all subsequent events are included under your MemberPlus status. 

How long is the membership fee valid?
Like the ICF Global membership, the ICF-WI membership must be renewed once a year.
Annual MemberPlus memberships are valid from April 1-March 31 of the following year.

When does the MemberPlus need to be renewed?
Memberships must be renewed annually and are valid through March 31 of the following year.

If I join mid-way through the year, is my fee prorated?
No. The MemberPlus package fee is $50, regardless of what time of year it is paid. It is valid through March 31 of the following year.
