Biography

Dr. Stacy Jensen is the founder of The Purposeful Heart, her coaching and consulting practice. Through her coaching, she empowers people to live out their God-given purposes by targeting identity, vocation, leadership, creativity, and relational communication. She also helps people address burnout, career transitions, grieving, public speaking, and conflict situations.

As a coach, Stacy uses her laser-sharp focus to help people discover, fine-tune, and pursue their God-given purpose on this earth. She uses her empathy, active listening skills, and encouraging personality to hold space for clients to breathe, think, and reflect. She uses her highly-driven, motivated nature to support people in reaching their goals. Given her strengths and coaching style, she works with clients who are deeply committed to maximizing their talents and abilities in their vocational and personal lives.

Beyond her work at The Purposeful Heart, Stacy serves as Professor in the Communication Department at Wisconsin Lutheran College. She teaches courses in leadership, public speaking, persuasion, interpersonal communication, creativity, conflict management, and nonverbal communication. Her research, writing, and public speaking activities revolve around creative leadership communication, particularly as it relates to motivation, empowerment, and student engagement. She also frequently speaks on personal identity, resilience, and the grieving process. Her recent book, “Purposeful Grieving: Embracing God’s Plan in the Midst of Loss,” pulls these concepts together, guiding the reader toward personal growth and healing.

Dr. Jensen earned undergraduate degrees in Communication and Theology from Wisconsin Lutheran College. She holds a master’s degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.
